Being used to Swedish winters where the sun disappears at 3 pm (yes, really), I’m always amazed by the abundance of light NY gets during the colder months. There’s just something so magical about that bright light that bounces of the sky high buildings, illuminating the streets below.

It is, however, starting to get pretty chilly on this side of the pond. Luckily enough I have a few tricks up my sleeve against the biting cold winds, and this shearling McQ jacket is one of them!

New York weather seems to be going through some kind of identity crisis at the moment. One day it’s full on fall weather and the next day we’re back to bare legs. I’m not complaining though, who doesn’t like getting the best of both worlds?

 I wore my dreamy new camel coat from McQ Alexander McQueen on one of the chillier days last week and I have a feeling we’ll be best friends this fall. Love the clean, menswear-inspired cut + oversized lapels!

NYFW. Today marks the first day of New York Fashion Week and of course, the streets are covered in ice. Ran a little late to my first show this morning (cabs during NYFW = nightmare) and probably looked like Bambi on ice while sliding my way through the crowds outside Lincoln Center, but thankfully, I made it there on time and in one piece!

Hopefully I’ll get a couple of minutes this afternoon to shoot todays outfit but until then, here’s a picture we snapped the other day. This menswear-inspired tuxedo dress from McQ Alexander McQueen is one of the latest additions to my wardrobe and I absolutely love the structured tailoring, so sleek! Played around with the silhouette and layered the dress over a pair of pants and actually really liked the result. Turns out, dresses over pants aren’t actually that bad!
