BEAUTY. A lot of you have been asking for a post about my favorite makeup products and even though I’m no expert I’m a huge makeup junkie who loves to try out new products. My favorites are constantly changing, but below I’ve listed some of my current must haves:

Laura Mercier Oil-Free Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 i
n ‘Porcelain’– I discovered the tinted moisturizer from laura Mercier last year when I wanted to find something light to wear on hot summer days and have been wearing it ever since. If you’re looking for a lot of coverage you might have to look elsewhere but if you just want something really light that evens out your skin tone a bit, this is perfect.

Diorskin nude foundation in 010 ivory – I used to be a huge fan of the Diorskin pure light foundation until it got discontinued and the Diorskin “Nude” is probably the most similar one I’ve found. I usually wear this for events/parties when I want a little bit more coverage than the tinted moisturizer from Laura Mercier can provide, but it’s still a very light foundation that looks super natural on your face.

Nars Illuminator in ‘copacabana’ – I use this one as a highlighter on my cheekbones + other areas I want to highlight and it really does wonders for a tired face.

Mac select cover-up concealer in NW15 – Being super duper pale I always have a hard time finding products that works with my skintone but when I found this concealer from MAC it was love at first sight. It’s great for covering up dark circles + blemishes and if you like me have trouble finding foundations/concealers that matches your skintone, MAC can definitely be worth a try!

Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge in ‘Pale Pink’ – When it comes to blush I’m a big fan of creamy products as I think the end result looks so much more natural, and these ones from Bobbi Brown also looks great on your lips!

MAC Prep + Prime transparent finishing powder – great for setting your makeup + reduce shine.

Guerlain terracotta bronzing powder – One of the best bronzers out there!

Shiseido eyelash curler
– Couldn’t go a day without this one, by far the best eyelash curler I’ve ever tried.

Helena Rubinstein Lash Queen Mascara – When it comes to mascara I’ve been an avid user of Helena Rubinsteins lash queen mascara for years and years. I have quite short, straight lashes but this one gives them that wow effect that no other mascara can achieve!

Smashbox Photo Op Eye Enhancing Palette for Blue Eyes – This eyeshadow palette is another gem that I found during one of my many visits to Sephora. It contains six eyeshadow specifically chosen to enhance blue eyes and it really does the trick! It’s also available for brown + hazel eyes and I definitely recommend you to try them out.

H&M Divided Liquid eyeliner – As you know, I’m a huge fan of the classic winged eyeliner look and after trying lot’s of different liners I always come back to this one from H&M. It kind of resembles a felt pen and makes it so much easier to achieve that perfect cat eye.

Max Factor Colour Elixir Lipsticks
– When it comes to lipstick I have TONS of favorites but these ones from Max Factor are definitely the ones I use the most at the moment. I always use my fingers to apply these lipsticks for a softer, less “made up” look and I absolutely love the creamy texture of them! My favorite shades are ‘Ruby Tuesday’, ‘Pink Brandy’ and ‘Bewitching Coral’ and they also work great as blush by dabbing some on the apples of your cheeks.

  1. I always have trouble with make up because I don’t know the colors that look better on my skin: I’m blonde too and as I can happily see you use the same colors of lipstik that I use! It seams I did it right!

  2. You definitely made me want to try a few new products, especially the lipsticks and the Laura Mercier moisturizer. I’ve always heard good things about Laura Mercier but I never actually tried the products, which I should do :P

  3. Thats for the tips. I, too have blue eyes and pale skin. However I have my hair is chestnut brown. I love the lipsticks and will be sure to look out for them. Its horrible that I can’t find foundation and concealers that are the same pigment. I’m going to try the new FIT maybelline range.

  4. That eyeshadow palette sounds great! I have tons of different single eyeshadows lying around and it’s so hard to choose one (or two) when I’m in a hurry on weekday mornings! Maybe the Smashbox palette is the right one for me!

  5. Great recommendations, will have to try a few of these… Right now, I’m loving Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer (found at Sephora), and Laura Mercier Mineral Pressed Powder (it can go on as sheer or as full coverage as you need it, depending on how you apply it)… Let me know how itngoes if you decide to try any of these :)

  6. max factor cream blush, nars lipstick, clarins lip balm and shiseido foundation brush are my musthaves! give it a try!
could you please also do a post about your favourite skin care products at the moment? your skin looks flawless! :)

  7. I like how you set this up. the display of your favorites is very pleasing to the eye. And the pictures are gorgeous!

  8. great post! as for the eyeliner, I use Lancome artliner, for me it’s the easiest to use. Their lipsticks are amazing, too. :)

  9. I’ve been in need of new makeup I’m definitely bookmarking this page! Thank you :)

  10. Check out Korres Quercetin & Oak Concealer in Fair…I like the texture a little better than MAC’s and it’s one of the only concealers that works on super pale skin.

  11. I have been using the NARS Copacabana high lighter for a few months, love love love it! It’s great to see it on a blog, I’m not sure if it’s just not well known or underrated.

  12. Estée Lauder’s Idealist: Even Skintone Illuminator is amazing as a primer, and High Beam by Benefit is a really cute highlighter, although YSL’s touché éclat is probably the cult favorite..just thought I’d list a few illuminators since you’ve got the rest quite covered :)

  13. Really like that Smashbox eye box for blue eyes!! Christmas list! Im in love with Aromatherapy Associates products – esp Rose Face Oil – smells like heaven

  14. The bronzing powder looks so beautiful OMG
and I like the lipstick and the makeup palette :) it’s definitely something i’d wear too!

  15. I am also quite fair skinned so I very much appreciate this post about what you’ve found that works for you! I currently use Chanel Perfection Lumiere foundation paired with Bobbi Brown corrector and concealer (they have a fantastic range of shades). My FAVORITE eye liner is Bobbi Brown Gel Liner. It is phenomenal.

  16. One of my favourite products when it comes to eye shadows is Urban Decay naked palette number 2.
It really is the best I’ve ever tried!!

  17. I thought the Smashbox palette was a gift from your boyfriend when he went to NY? Going through your beauty posts so I just read about it after you mentioned this. So weird. You lie on your posts?

  18. Raiza: Haha what a silly question! I found it at Sephora during a trip to NY, didn’t buy it and ended up regretting it a lot, and then my boyfriend went to New York on a work trip and I asked if he could buy it for me, I’ve never said it was a gift, you can go back and check the post for yourself! :)
