go bright or go home!

NEW IN. When it comes to bags, I’ve always taken the safe route and opted for black because, as my mother always say, ‘black goes with everything!’. But last year it all changed when I fell in love with an orchid PS1, and after that, there was no turning back. Don’t get me wrong, I still love black bags, but there’s just something so special about buying a bright, colorful bag that might not go with everything in your wardrobe, but is sure to put a smile on your face everytime you wear it!

  1. Totally agreeing with you, though I do not like red bags myself. But yesterday I bought a sky blue Rouven Icone 40 and I also own a bright orange bag and a white one. Next stop, yellow :)
Enjoy your bag, bright colours are so perfect for summer!

  2. That’s such a beautiful bag. I used to carry a lot of black bags, too, but in the past years I also decided to let more colour in my daily life. I have many many burgundy bags and others in beautiful red tones. I think they fit the most to very several life moments. xx

  3. Love the bag! I agree that black goes with everything, but a red bag makes a statement! Where did you get it?

  4. Stunning bag !

  5. Beautiful bag! Like you I am starting to stray away from the “black goes with everything” philosophy of my mother. This red bag is the perfect way to start adding color to your arm candy.

  6. I ALWAYS go with the safer option of black or even grey, but I am definitely loving your new red bag (kudos to you). I also have to say how much I’m loving your blog header – the typography is beautiful!

  7. Exactly! That’s what I say to my boyfriend everytime I buy a new bag, but he just doesn’t get it. I don’t know why he has to make such a drama out of the fact that, well, we have no more space to live because of my shoes and bags. I really wish he were more supportive hahahaha

  8. It’s definitely a very elegant bag (like most things by Carolina Herrera) and I could see one keeping this bag FOR YEARS!

  9. Perfect bag, & red can be worn plenty!

  10. That was actually my tango teacher, who once said that “many people believe the opposite, but black DOESN’T go with everything!”
And I came to a conclusion she definetely has a point there!
It is not a discreet or a supportive colour.
Black colour makes you go for an outfit, which is built around black.
Whereas e.g. this red bag or the orchid PS1 can be the “single players” :)
