behind the scenes

Pictures by Mattias Swenson

BARCELONA. Here’s a bunch of behind the scenes snaps from the Werelse shoot we did in Barcelona last Sunday. The call time for hair & makeup was 5.45 in the morning and I’m pretty sure I looked like a sleepwalking zombie on my way there. It was a really long day that started with an early photoshoot for a magazine in the empty streets of Barcelona, followed by a video shoot with an amazing crew in a really cool location. We worked until the last minute and me & Andy ended up having to rush to the airport with the clothes + hair & makeup from the shoot. I have never looked so glamourous while flying, hahaha.

We’ve had so much fun working on this project and I can’t wait to tell you guys more about it!

P.S. Don’t forget to vote for Werelse as blogger business of the year in the bloglovin awards! <3

hello spring!

FIRENZE. Here’s the last look I styled during Luisa Via Roma’s event Firenze 4-ever! It might not exactly have been spring weather outside when we shot these pictures but this is most definitely something I could see myself rocking once the temperature starts heating up a bit. And trust me, during the 20 minutes it took to shoot these pictures, the cold weather was the last thing on my mind thanks to these insanely painful Zanotti heels.. Oh well, no pain no gain I guess! ;)

FIRENZE. For the second look I created during Firenze 4-ever I decided to go for this magnificent, textured Giambattista Valli jacket that I fell head over heels in love with (a romance that left me heartbroken after seeing the price tag, mamma mia!). I paired it with a simple Alexander Wang skirt to give the look more of a downtown feel and topped it off with the bright Casadei shoes, a black proenza schouler bag & Céline sunnies. Totally considering a DIY attempt on this jacket, it’s simply too stunning to go without!

FIRENZE. I got back from Florence last night and I miss the awesome weather we enjoyed so, so much! It wasn’t exactly warm enough for bare legs but when you get the chance to borrow and style some of the most amazing pieces out there, you make it work somehow!

When I was choosing items for my first look my eyes were instantly drawn to this amazingly bright top/skirt combo by italian designer Caterina Gatta. She’s a new designer for me but after reading about her she became even more interesting. I especially love the fact that she uses a lot of beautiful vintage fabrics from other designers (such as Versace, Yves Saint Laurent, Pierre Cardin and Givenchy to name a few). The combination of the old prints and the modern silhouette really makes her pieces stand out and I definitely hope to see more of her designs in the future! As for the Proenza Schouler bag, you can’t even imagine how hard it was to leave it at the Luisa Via Roma store after the shoot, such a stunning, stunning color!! Same goes for the lovely Casadei shoes, if I only had a bigger wallet…

Now, still curious about what was hiding in the Céline shopping bag? Well, the Céline Audrey sunglasses in the picture above of course! Definitely the most perfect pair of sunglasses that has ever graced my nose (actually thinking about buying them in tortoise as well..). More Firenze 4-ever looks to come!
