MAKEUP. One of the best things about traveling a lot is that you can buy makeup brands that aren’t available in your own country. Whenever I head to the US for example I always stock up on products from Stila, Benefit and Urban Decay. Last week when my boyfriend went to NY he was kind enough to help me out with buying some products I’ve been wanting to try for a while and I probably looked like a 5 year old on Christmas Eve when he got home the other day and handed over the Sephora bag, hehe. So far I have only tried the Stila blush and the Urban Decay highlighter (love, love, love them!) but tomorrow I’m going to experiment a bit with the Smashbox palette which supposedly really makes blue eyes pop! I’ll try my best to snap some pictures :)

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20, Oil free.
TINTED MOISTURIZER. Since I’ve been getting a whole lot of comments about my makeup, I thought I’d start a new series here on the blog called “Beauty favorites” where I dish on my must-have beauty products. First out is one of the products that I absolutely can’t live without, the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturize SPF20.
I first discovered the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer earlier this summer when I wanted to find something light to wear on hot summer days. I bought the original oil-based one but noticed that it made my face look a bit shiny so I changed to the oil free version and have been wearing it ever since. If you’re looking for a lot of coverage you might have to look elsewhere but if you just want something really light that evens out your skin tone a bit, this is the perfect product! I’m using the lightest shade called Porcelain, which miraculously works on my super pale face (if finding jeans with a good fit is hard, you should try finding a foundation that looks good on really fair skin – almost impossible).
This baby also contains SPF 20 which is great for protecting your skin from sun damage. Some people find this one a bit pricey but I never compromise when it comes to foundation (or in this case, tinted moisturizers). The base, in my opinion, really is what makes or breaks a good makeup, and I think it’s worth investing a couple of extra bucks if you find something that works for you!
FALL. It’s funny how a little bit of red lipstick can transform your look + mood, it definitely is one of the best and least expensive beauty investments a girl can make! Can’t wear heels at the moment due to some mean back pain I’ve been suffering from for a while so I decided to go with 40′s inspired hair + makeup to make the look a little bit more interesting, love the way it turned out! Lately I’ve been a lot of comments/emails about what makeup I use so I’ll try to make a post about it later this week. And if anyone was wondering, the lipstick I’m wearing is “Lady Danger” from MAC!

LOVE. Finally got my hands on the lovely Chanel Peridot after months of waiting!! All the other nail polishes I own kind of pales in it’s presence, honestly can’t see myself wearing anything else this fall. The way this beetle hued masterpiece reflects light.. pure perfection!
