We snapped these pictures outside King’s Cross station in London on one of those gloomy afternoons when all you really want to do is cuddle up under a blanket with a cup of hot tea and a good book. I didn’t have much hope for the pictures since it was pretty dark outside when we shot them, but I actually really like how they turned out!

When winter hits Sweden around November, we’re pretty much living in darkness for 5 months and when I bought this Phillip Lim bag I wanted something that would brighten up those cold, dark days a bit. The way the light hits the bag + how the gold pops against the midnight blue outfit is exactly what I had in mind and it almost makes me long a bit for those long, dark months..

  1. I always wonder how it is to live through winter in a country like Sweden, or Norway, or Finland. I live in Portugal, and we’re pretty much sunny and light all year round, and by the time I get to February I already feel depressed from the winter’s cold soft light, I cannot imagine what it would be like to live 5 months in dark days… but I would sure like to try, I am fascinated with Nordica countries and culture. Anyway, that bag is perfect for those kind of days!!!

  3. Well you look great. The photos are wonderful. And that bag is to die for!! Wowie Zowie. I can relate to your winter woes.I am from New York but lived in Seattle for a number of years and it is dark there in the winter too! Not as dark as what you experience. But I could not handle all the rain and darkness. New York is very cold in winter BUT it is bright and sunny. I had to move back : O

  4. I love the outfit but I felt that the bag is looking a bit large. May be because of its color, you needed to go for a smaller size as the black one was looking just fine.

  5. Please tell me what colour this lipstick is, I love it and need to find it! Thanks a lot! xo
